Library Journal Review
To complement the ever-popular country decorating style, Rains (Real Simple Celebrations) and the editors of Country Living magazine provide ideas for storage. The book takes on every room of the house-living rooms, dining rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms, and the garden. In close to 200 color photographs, the editors highlight creative ways in which flea-market finds can be employed, such as using a library card catalog for storing basic household tools or a steamer trunk to store bedroom linens. For each space, they supply a look at one example, pointing out specifically successful storage ideas. Projects are included, which range from creating a simple rack for hanging garden tools to transforming a dresser drawer into a beverage station, with some requiring significant do-it-yourself skills or more detailed instructions. VERDICT This well-illustrated volume provides a wealth of inspiring solutions to storage dilemmas for amateur interior decorators. (c) Copyright 2015.
