Event Details

In the first part of the 20th century, postcards were all the rage in America. The Erie Canal Museum is home to many of these small pieces of history. The Museum's Curator of Collections & Exhibitions, Ashley Maready, will discuss the growth in use of postcards, or “postals,” in our country, how they came to be one of our most widely used means of communication for several years, and how postcards helped to capture and preserve practically every aspect of the Erie Canal.

Registration requested.

*Be sure to stop by the library anytime during February to see a wonderful traveling exhibit provided by the Erie Canal Museum.  And during Winter Break Week (Feb. 18-21), we will have fun local travel programs for families.
