Online Library Card Application

CA residents apply online, then visit any SFPL location with your valid ID to receive your library card. The Library does not issue ecards online; you must visit in-person. San Francisco residents unable to visit SFPL due to a disability may apply by mail.

If you already have a library card but have lost your account information or need to replace or renew your card, do not fill out this form. Contact info@sfpl.org, call 415-557-4400, or visit any SFPL branch for assistance.
