Highlights
Make and Take: Bookmarks celebrating Native American Heritage Month
Join the San Rafael Branch Library on November 9th at 2:30 pm as we make our own heritage bookmarks to celebrate Native American Heritage Month. Choose a decorative design and then use string and beads to create a personalized laminated bookmark! Everything provided.

Jefferson Branch Library
The Jefferson Branch Library is now open to the public. The new library offers children and teen services, and is located at 1500 E. Villa St., Pasadena, CA 91106. We are open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturdays from 2-6 p.m. Make sure to check out our calendar for upcoming programs at our new branch.

Teen Writers Meetup
Join other teens and write! Whether you are crafting poetry or a novel, writing can be lonely as it's typically a solo endeavor, but meeting with others who share the passion can be a great for inspiration and encouragement. We might write together, use writing prompts, or share our work in a safe and supportive space. For teens only.

Sew & Sew Empowering Youth
Alterations and Sewing for Beginners, teaches how to use a sewing machine, make alterations, and sew clothes by using a pattern. Renetta Lipscomb has been teaching secondary students for over two decades. Her passion is empowering youth to express their individuality by altering and making clothes that compliment their unique body, shape, and personal style. You'll get a list of needed materials at the first meeting.

USC Pacific Asia Museum Silk Road Day 2022
USC Pacific Asia Museum is hosting their second annual celebration of the Silk Road! Enjoy artmaking activities, live storytelling, and music and dance performances inspired by the diverse cultures connected through the ancient trade route. Explore their permanent gallery, Crossroads: Exploring the Silk Road, and participate in a fabric dumpling-making workshop with our exhibiting Artist Yeu Q. Nguyen. Free admission all day!

Day One Youth Advocates
Youth Advocates make their voices heard on a wide range of health and social justice issues through advocacy. They provide a safe space for students to advocate for issues in their community, students develop leadership skills through project-based learning, and gain community service hours. Day One has a meeting every Wednesday from 4:30-5:30 p.m. For ages 12-18.
