Public libraries need practical, evidence-based approaches to health literacy to combat the spread of health misinformation, and better connect with their communities to improve health outcomes and equity. This webinar will provide an updated look at health literacy to equip librarians with the information and tools their communities need. Featuring a panel of experts on health literacy in diverse communities, this webinar will highlight the important role health literacy has in achieving health equity, promoting social justice, and eliminating health disparities. Cost

Unless otherwise indicated, a 60-minute PLA webinar is $47.40 for PLA personal members, $71.10 for ALA personal members, and $79.00 for nonmembers. Discounts are available for groups of 3 or more. Webinars are intended for the sole use of the registrant. Redistribution or rebroadcast to another individual or group other than the registrant is prohibited. Thank you for your cooperation.

Credits

A certificate of completion is available only for those PLA webinars in the ALA eLearning catalog.
