Calling all special scientists!  Ms. Liz is in her kitchen and ready to perform a simple science experiment you can follow along with at home. Grab the following supplies and join her to see how to make ice cream! 

What you need for this experiment are: 

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (or half and half or whole milk)
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 3 cups ice
  • 1/3 cup kosher or rock salt
  • gallon size zip top bag
  • quart size zip top bag
  • toppings such as sprinkles, chocolate sauce, or whipped cream
