We honor the richness of Black culture during SFPL’s Black History celebration called More Than a Month, where we recognize the importance of Black History beginning on Martin Luther King Jr. Day through February and all year round at the library. Participate in a More Than a Month event at various SFPL locations.
Explore the topics of self-efficacy, tools you can use at home. How can you improve your behaviors to reach more of your health goals? Learn about outside resources to support you on your path to a healthier self. Professionals from The Clark Technique, a neighboring Glen Park business, teach you how to get a hold on and succeed at achieving your wellness goals.
Learn how to use Brainfuse, the library's free live tutoring service for grade K-12. For ages 5–17. Youth under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult.
Meet Sara Behrman, author of The Sea Hides a Seahorse and retired librarian. Behrman leads a fun and engaging storytime based on her book as well as a make your own seahorse stick puppet craft. Books available for sale and signing after the storytime.
Janet “The Coyote Lady” Kessler will share her first-hand information, compassion and love for urban coyotes gained through nearly two decades conducting daily field research documenting their behavior and family life.
