Sample Scottish, Austrian, Irish, Swiss, and French treats! We’ll stop in Scotland for Ginger Nut Biscuits, which are cookies that are neither nutty nor like biscuits served with dinner! In Austria we’ll try our hand at Viennese Vanilla Crescents, with ties to a war. In Ireland, there’s the very traditional Soda Bread – using a family recipe brought over from Ireland to the US. And what could be more fun than reviving an at-home party standard – Swiss chocolate fondue! We’ll round out the experience in a foodie capital of the world -- France -- with typical street comfort food -- Nutella-filled crêpes. Email jsalvatore@sctylib.org by Friday, June 12 with the subject “Food” to receive the video link available for you to view at your convenience. |
