STAFF PICK

The Alchemist

by Paulo Coelho

“One of my personal favorites is The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. The story follows Santiago, a shepherd from Spain, who embarks on a journey to the Egyptian pyramids in search of his personal treasure. Along the way, he encounters thought-provoking questions about destiny and the nature of treasure. One of my favorite quotes from the book is, 'Remember that wherever your

heart is, there you will find your treasure.' Like the legends of King Arthur, Arabian Nights and Robin Hood, this folktale will stay with you. The audiobook, narrated by Jeremy Irons and available on Hoopla, is my favorite. At just around four hours long, it’s perfect for a round-trip to the mountains or the coast.”
