NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK

 APRIL 6–12

Libraries are more than books — they're community hubs that empower, educate and inspire. This National Library Week, we celebrate the invaluable role that libraries and library workers play in transforming lives and strengthening our communities.

From connecting people with resources to supporting lifelong learning, libraries provide free access to information, technology and programs that make a difference.

Spread the word! Tell someone how the library has supported you in learning, research or entertainment.

The library will be closed Sunday, April 20 for Easter.

Prom Mom by Laura Lippman

“It tells the haunting story of Amber Glass, who returns to Baltimore years after being infamously labeled “Prom Mom” by the tabloids. The novel delves into her struggle to escape her past while being drawn back to Joe Simpson, her prom date whose actions led to her downfall. Set against the backdrop of 2020 and early 2021, the story explores their complex relationship and the dangerous proposition Joe presents to Amber. This psychological thriller stands out for its deep character development and emotional resonance rather than relying on constant plot twists. Lippman's evocative writing and the exploration of themes such as redemption and the impact of past actions make Prom Mom a compelling and thought-provoking read.”
