Harlem Rhapsody by Victoria Christopher Murray
âVictoria Christopher Murray is one of my favorite authors. Harlem Rhapsody centers on Jessie Redmon Fauset, an African American writer and literary editor who became a key figure in the Harlem Renaissance, and her relationship with W.E.B. DuBois, the editor of the NAACP's magazine, The Crisis. I selected this book because this foray into historical fiction has helped me tap into exploring and adding books written about Jesse Redmon Fauset, Langston Hughes, along with his poetry and W.EB. DuBois, whose works were mentioned throughout the book, to my personal collection.â
