Virtual Sewing Workshop: Roll-up Organizer

Virtual Sewing Workshop: Roll-up Organizer In-Person

For ages 10+, join us virtually via Zoom. For a limited time, the recording of this workshop is available on the Library's YouTube channel.

Join Patchwork Giraffe virtually to learn how to make a fabric organizer with lots of pockets! It can hold pencils, brushes, knitting needles, or other small tools. It rolls up and ties so your collection is easy to store and carry. This class does require you to have access to a sewing machine at home.

Supplies Needed:

  • 15" x 17.5" sturdy fabric such as canvas, denim, or twill
  • 3 yards of bias binding
  • Thread
  • Pins
  • Sewing machine

If you do not have access to the above supplies, please email creativelearning@carsoncitylibrary.org to schedule to pick up a sewing kit for this class (does not include sewing machine). Pick-ups can be scheduled for June 26 through July 1. A premiere card is not required to attend this virtual workshop. This workshop will be recorded and can be viewed at a later time.

Registration is required.

Funds for this project have been provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services through the Library Services and Technology Act, administered by the Nevada State Library, Archives and Public Records.

This program is part of the Carson City Library's 2020 Summer Learning Challenge; Imagine Your Story, and participants can earn a Grand Prize Raffle ticket for participating. Sign up for our Summer Learning Challenge, and don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions!
