Collaborative Art Activity 
All month long
Children's Department

Work on a collaborative art piece! Participants are invited to add a sticker and their name to our collaborative mural, and help us create a beautiful coral reef seascape to end the summer.

Shark Engineering Challenge

Work in groups, and pool together your building skills and know-how to complete shark-themed engineering challenges!
There will also be materials available to make your own Sharpie tie-dye visors!

Coral Reef Conservation 
August 9, 1-3pm
YA Zone

We're hosting a very special guest this week...a visitor from the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, California! On this virtual field trip, you'll explore the beautiful biodiversity found in coral reefs! You'll also learn about current threats to this essential habitat and what you could do to help save them!
There will also be materials available to make your own gyotaku poster. Gyotaku is a Japanese artform where ink is used to transfer the impression of a fish onto rice paper!

Summer Wrap Up Party at Tokens Arcade

It's time to say good-bye to Summer Challenge 2022...well almost...We are celebrating the end of summer by heading over toTokens Arcade for an evening of fantastically fun, free-play games!

Tabletop Game Day

Co-hosted by the library and the Tabletop Gaming Guild. We will have board games and tabletop roleplaying games like Dungeons and Dragons.
We'll also have a boardgame raffle, with tickets for $1.
The Friends of the Library will have hotdogs, chips and water for sale.

How to Meditate: A Wellness Seminar

Financial Literacy for Victims of Domestic Violence

An attorney from Neighborhood Legal Services will provide an educational presentation aimed at victims of domestic violence, to provide knowledge and skills to manage financial resources effectively for financial security.
