We know that you are missing your loved ones and that they are missing you. We would like to see you enjoy time with one another. We have been working on ways to ensure safe “supervised” visiting methods in keeping with Ministry Directives and Public Health Guidelines. Visits will begin on Thursday, June 18, 2020 and will occur daily during pre-scheduled time slots. The available visit times are 10:15am; 11:15am; 1:45pm and 4pm. Please note that visits may be cancelled at any time due to inclement weather or extreme heat.
Please book an appointment to visit online here or by calling Candice McMullen at the Home 613-354-3306 ext 7223.
Using the online tool is the preferred method for booking and most responsive tool for you as you will be able to visualize the available slots that are open without having to wait for a return call from the Home.
Each resident can receive one visit with one visitor per week. If additional space is available, additional visits may be booked.
Each visit will be 45 minutes in length. There will be a total of 6 residents enjoying a visit with their loved one at the same time within their designated area in the garden.
Staff will bring the resident to the designated location within the garden area and will return them to the Home at the end of the visit.
The visiting area will be cleaned and disinfected between every visit.
Please do not arrive until 10 minutes before your scheduled visit - We ask you do not arrive too early so you are not crossing paths with other visitors
Visitors are to ensure physical distancing (2m/6’) with others on the site.
Visitors will remain on the exterior of the fenced area while residents will be on the interior of the fenced garden area.
We ask you to please follow the steps below to ensure a safe visit:
Go to the Main Entrance where you will be screened (includes temperature taking) and show your COVID testing negative results.
Go to the sign saying ‘Family Visiting Area.’
Clean hands using the hand sanitizer provided.
Wait for staff member to direct you to the visiting area.
Wear a face covering that you are responsible for supplying, for the entire outdoor visit.
Do not bring pets or any outside beverages or food items for your loved one.
Any packaged items that you would like to leave for your loved one should be left with the Screener as per current process.
Do not physically touch your loved one.
Please ensure that you are following physical distancing guidelines and remaining within designated area. As per Public Health, failure to do so will result in your loved one being placed in isolation for 14 days and a COVID-19 test completed. Future visits may also be discontinued.
After blowing your nose, touching your eyes, mouth, coughing or sneezing and at the conclusion of the visit, clean your hands with the hand sanitizer provided.
Exit the home’s property immediately at the conclusion of the visit.
Should you have any questions, please speak to the staff member on duty in the Garden Area.
Enjoy your visit! It is great to see you again and we hope to continue to move forward to open up the Home safely to further visiting in the coming weeks..
