Programs for All Ages
The 3rd Annual "Touch & See" Tactile Art Show for the Blind and Visually Impaired
October 1-31

This event kicks off at the Cynthia Graham Hurd/St. Andrews Library on Wednesday, October 1. Artists of all ages participate, from kids to octogenarians (and several have taken part in this show since its inception)! Come enjoy the imaginations and variations of artwork on display for all to touch and/or see. There will be paintings, crafts, collages, crocheted animals, and much more to explore. Octavia the giant crocheted, fun-to-hug octopus, a crowd favorite, makes her return from artist Jane Broaddus in Georgia. Don't miss this one-of-a-kind art show, unique in that it welcomes you to touch art instead of just viewing it. And please join us for the Opening Reception in the Community Room on Saturday, October 4, from 2-4 p.m. for light bites and music. For more info, please email Margaret Edwards, edwardsm@ccpl.org.
