Readers' Group - Morning Edition Thursday, April 2, 11:00 am Community Room It's 1947, and American college girl Charlie St. Clair is pregnant, unmarried, and on the verge of being thrown out of her very proper family. She's also nursing a fervent belief that her beloved French cousin Rose, who disappeared in Nazi-occupied France during the war, might still be alive somewhere. So when Charlie's family banishes her to Europe to have her "little problem" taken care of, Charlie breaks free and heads to London, determined to find out what happened to the cousin she loves like a sister... Provided by the publisher. Looking ahead to the May 7 meeting, the group will discuss The Sisters of Auschwitz by Roxane van Iperen.

Readers' Group Thursday, April 9*, 6:00 pm *special date Community Room "As a botanist, Robin Wall Kimmerer has been trained to ask questions of nature with the tools of science. As a member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation, she embraces the notion that plants and animals are our oldest teachers. In Braiding Sweetgrass, Kimmerer brings these two lenses of knowledge together to take us on “a journey that is every bit as mythic as it is scientific, as sacred as it is historical, as clever as it is wise.”-- Provided by publisher. Looking ahead to the May 7 meeting, the group will discuss Little Monsters by Adrienne Brodeur. You can visit us to pick up a copy, place a hold, or ask a librarian to order a copy for you.
