...research colleges and scholarships! Will you or your child be applying to colleges soon? Testing and Education Reference Center (TERC) includes a tool to help you find the school that is right for you! The undergraduate school search lets you search for colleges by choosing what's important to you in categories such as location, size, programs, and campus life. You can also use a scholarship tool to find out what scholarships may be available to you. This isn't only for undergraduates; TERC also has a graduate school and scholarship search page. To use these tools, sign in with your Pembroke Public Library card number and create a free personal account using your email address.

With your Pembroke Public Library card, you can use the popular language learning tool Mango for free through our website or by downloading the Mango app. We will also be starting a new language group this month! The aim of the group is to allow people who are studying a foreign language or English as a second language to get together and share their learning experiences and their love for languages. The first meeting will take place over Zoom on Wednesday, May 27th from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. The group will be led by PPL staff member Brian, who has lived about 10 percent of his life overseas and learned Spanish, French, and Japanese. I just finished The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren. This title was recommended to me by a friend as a funny, light read. It did not disappoint! The bride’s sister and the groom’s brother are the only two people at the wedding who don’t come down with horrible food poisoning. They are coerced into going on the bride and groom’s (no refunds allowed) honeymoon against their best wishes because they hate each other. What could go wrong...or right? This was a great rom-com novel that allowed me to escape to a luxury resort in Maui with the characters. -Carly
