Coloring PagesPlenty of us still have our markers, gel pens, coloring pencils, and more from a few years ago when adult coloring books were at every gift exchange and spread across dining room tables. This is still a great way to relax and get creative, so dig out your supplies and try your hand at a few new line art pages!

This board game is a new take on the Snakes & Ladders game. Rainbows take you up to higher numbers (like ladders) and black clouds and rain bring you back down to lower numbers (like snakes). Got it? Try chasing the rainbows without getting soaking wet in the rain!

When media is used thoughtfully and appropriately it can enhance daily life, but when used too much it can displace many important activities such as face-to-face interaction, outdoor play, and sleep. Create a media plan that's right for your family with either a simple printable or an interactive form from the American Academy for Pediatrics.

For fans of fantasy and magic Karen suggests The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss, the start of an epic story about a notorious wizard. Karen says: "This incredible fantasy book was recommended to me by my nephew. The story is very well written, a real page turner. It is part of a trilogy, although the third book has yet to be written. The whole story takes place over the course of three days, however it has a story within a story as the wizard tells of his past and how he came to be where he is. There is magic, mayhem, love, adventure, a little bit of everything you would expect in a fantastical story. I do warn you, if you decide to take on this series, you need to have patience - we don’t yet know when the third book will come out. There are however a few short stories to be found with some of the side characters, should you need more in the meantime! This book, the second (The Wise Man’s Fear) and one of the side stories (The Slow Regard of Silent Things) are all available on Libby/Overdrive!"
