The Friends of Plumb Library will be holding a 2-day book sale in the library's downstairs program space. Funds raised from this event help support programming for kids and adults year round!
The Savers Truck will be at Plumb Library on Saturday, October 3 from 8:00 AM - 2:30 PM to pick up donated clothing, shoes, jewelry, accessories, handbags, linens, and books. Please use standard kitchen-size bags to bag the soft goods. Books must be boxed separately from soft goods. Every pound of items collected earns money for the Friends of Plumb Library.

Welcome to The Best of Boston: Superstars of Sports, hosted by award-winning sportswriter and author Marty Gitlin, who wrote The 50 Greatest Athletes in Boston Sports History. Watch performance videos of the legends, including Tom Brady, Bill Russell, Ted Williams, Bobby Orr, Larry Bird and many others. Interact with Marty and each other through fun trivia as well. Marty will discuss the impact these athletes made on their teams, sports and fans throughout New England. Marty will have his book available for purchase after the event. So please join in for this fun and enlightening presentation!

Learn fun, easy, expressive ways to create a “junk journal” (also known as an art journal or a glue book). Ellie will show many examples of her creative journals which employ a wide variety of
techniques. She will provide a large choice of materials (journal “fodder”). But, if you wish, you can bring photos, stickers, greeting cards, etc. to use in your personal journal that you will create.
Ellie Mae Higgins holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Graphic Arts certificate, both from Mass. College of Art.

We will be discussing How to Sell a Haunted House by Grady Hendrix. The next book will be The Women of Wild Hill by Kirstin Miller and copies will be available at the meeting to borrow with your library card. Copies can also be picked up at the library after the meeting. |
