Feelings Are Friends:

Social-Emotional Storytime

Join us for a special storytime focused on recognizing, expressing, and understanding feelings! Presented by Morgan Browning, a psychology graduate student at Antioch University, we will read some books about feelings together and then do a craft activity. Ages 4-8.

Red Nose Reader Storytime

Rickrack the Clown, a Red Nose Reader, entertains us with funny stories and clown shenanigans. The Red Nose Reader Program promotes literacy and kindness by inviting a Red Nose Reader to transform into a friendly clown right before your eyes, share a story, and perform some silliness. It is our hope that this experience will prevent children from forming a fear of clowns, show them that it's okay to be different and creative, and to encourage a love of learning.

Perhaps one of our country’s greatest treasures is our extensive system of National Parks. Join local author Matt Davis as he takes us on a virtual tour of some of the nation’s most famous parks. Showcasing dozens of his original photographs, he’ll provide interesting details about how the parks were created, the unique landscapes and wildlife they protect, and some of the challenges they face from ever-increasing tourism.

This event is free for you thanks to funding from the Friends of Plumb Library!

Fun, seasonally-themed refreshments will be served!
