GCLD Community SurveyOur community is strengthened by a library that addresses the needs, interests, and aspirations of all those we serve. We appreciate your time and your thoughts about how GCLD is serving you. The responses we receive are used to inform our long-term strategic planning and use of public funds. RMNP Snow Play DayKawuneeche Visitor Center Saturday, January 11 at 10 a.m. RMNP is hosting a Snow Play Day at Kawuneeche Visitor Center (KVC). RMNP will have a few stations set up around the parking lot with games, information and activities like snowshoeing, xc ski demonstration, animal touch table, etc. We will also provide some hot cocoa for people to enjoy while they warm up indoors. The Juniper Library is coming to read some snow themed books and host a snow craft in the auditorium.

Saturday, January 25 at 2 p.m. Join other teens at the Fraser Valley Library on the fourth Saturday of every month (during the school year) for pizza and Anime on the big screen. Join us for an exciting AFTER-HOURS reading adventure. Grandparents, parents, kids, and any other family members and friends are invited to build blanket forts in our Children's Library. Enjoy reading by flashlight and telling stories in your newly created fort. Books, snacks, and a limited number of tablecloths will be provided. Please bring your own favorite blankets, pillows, flashlights, other building materials, and your creativity. Everyone. Registration is required.

Home for the Holidays Fraser Valley Library through January 30 Home for the Holidays” exhibition explores local themes, landscapes and wildlife of Grand County featuring local artists, Vera Coberly and Karen Fletcher. Vera enjoys painting scenes from Fraser Valley using oils and pastels. Her work is inspired by her love for the outdoors and patterns of light and color. While Karen captures the spirit and personality of animals, beauty, light and shadow through acrylics, watercolors, oils, and gouache. Happy Holidays!

Plug an appliance into the Kill A Watt monitor and it will assess how efficient the appliance is, displaying the power consumption by the kilowatt-hour after power is applied. Figure out your electrical expense by the day, week, month, or year. The display shows all meter readings-- volts, current, watts, frequency, and power factor.
