GCLD Community Survey
Our community is strengthened by a library that addresses the needs, interests, and aspirations of all those we serve. We appreciate your time and your thoughts about how GCLD is serving you. The responses we receive are used to inform our long-term strategic planning and use of public funds. All responses will remain anonymous and will direct the vision of GCLD for you, our community, and people visiting Grand County. 
The GCLD Community Survey takes five to seven minutes of your time. Thank you for completing and encouraging others to do.
RMNP Snow Play Day
Kawuneeche Visitor Center
Saturday, January 11 at 10 a.m.
RMNP is hosting a Snow Play Day at Kawuneeche Visitor Center (KVC). RMNP will have a few stations set up around the parking lot with games, information and activities like snowshoeing, xc ski demonstration, animal touch table, etc.  We will also provide some hot cocoa for people to enjoy while they warm up indoors. The Juniper Library is coming to read some snow themed books and host a snow craft in the auditorium.

Death and Dying for Dummies

Wednesday, January 15 at 5 p.m.
Join Tara Thompson, GCLD’s Director of Finance, and Tawnya Bailey, Grand County Coroner, for a candid and practical discussion on end-of-life planning. We’ll talk about options, considerations, and the power of communication. The preparations you make today will make an already difficult time less stressful for those you love. You’re never too young, or too old, to think about how you want to close out your life on your terms and ensure loved ones are informed of your wishes. Bring your questions, concerns, and humor to the lively discussion! Light refreshments will be available.
Anime Club

Join other teens at the Fraser Valley Library on the fourth Saturday of every month (during the school year) for pizza and Anime on the big screen. Content is curated by library staff to be suitable for a teenage audience. Anime will be determined by participant vote on the day of. Ages 12+. Register today to reserve your seat.

Join us for an enlightening and compassionate dialogue about death. Meet with a coroner and a funeral director to demystify the processes surrounding death. Get clarity on end-of-life matters, with a safe space for attendees to ask questions and share their thoughts. 
Family Fort Night

Thursday, January 30 at 6 p.m.
Join us for an exciting AFTER-HOURS reading adventure. Grandparents, parents, kids, and any other family members and friends are invited to build blanket forts in our Children's Library. Enjoy reading by flashlight and telling stories in your newly created fort. Books, snacks, and a limited number of tablecloths will be provided. Please bring your own favorite blankets, pillows, flashlights, other building materials, and your creativity. Everyone. Registration is required.

Home for the Holidays” exhibition explores local themes, landscapes and wildlife of Grand County featuring local artists, Vera Coberly and Karen Fletcher. Vera enjoys painting scenes from Fraser Valley using oils and pastels. Her work is inspired by her love for the outdoors and patterns of light and color. While Karen captures the spirit and personality of animals, beauty, light and shadow through acrylics, watercolors, oils, and gouache. Happy Holidays!
