She first picked up a paintbrush in his studio while watching him finesse large acrylic depictions of the lobster and working boats that he had sketched at the local boatyard. Drawn to the water, landscape, and trees of his work and their surroundings, Katie continues to be a landscape artist today with a focus on watercolors infused with natural elements (snowmelt, ocean water, etc). After studying art in college, creating a program for children to learn art & English in Spain, and working at galleries in both Australia and Maine, now she focuses on her own artwork and finding inspiration in the Rocky Mountains.
