Alpaca your kids to the library for this fun event!

Angel Hair Alpacas was started in 2005 as a family farm to breed highest quality alpacas. Our entire family was engaged in breeding and training these extraordinary and useful animals, used primarily for their luxurious and energy efficient fleece. Alpacas are easily trained for handling. Alpacas are even shown in front of judges in national shows to determine the best alpacas in the country!

We will be bringing two of our alpacas for you to meet with and even feed! (they are very gentle and don’t have top teeth so they don’t bite!) Bring your curiosity and questions as we will share information about alpacas, fleece characteristics, history, care and ownership!

Join us this April for an artist's reception of Meaningful Masterpieces by local elementary students!

The students in Mrs. Gendreau, Miss T and Ms. Leveque's classrooms are part of our special education programming at George H. Mitchell Elementary. They receive a high level of support to participate in their school day in meaningful ways.

While in art, students in these programs have the support of additional adults, alternative and augmentative communication devices, visual supports, structured routines with sensory breaks embedded into their schedule.

The students are encouraged in exploring art materials, being hands on and creative. Students are allowed to create art at their own pace to help ensure that their work is truly theirs.

Meaningful Masterpieces will remain on display in the Flora T. Little Art Gallery through the month of April.

Apply Now for the Flora T. Little Fellowship in Local History at

the Bridgewater Public Library

The Bridgewater Public Library Archives seeks a scholar to explore, illuminate, and contextualize the local history of the Bridgewater region. At the library, our mission is to educate, inform, enrich, and inspire the community. With this fellowship, our goal is to provide a clearer understanding of ourselves and each other through deep and meaningful analysis and contextualization of our shared heritage.

We invite students of history, public history, the humanities, women’s studies, African-American studies, Indigenous people’s studies, LGBTQ+ studies, folklore, historic crafts, industrialization, New England studies, and others to explore the archival holdings of the public library. And then to share their insights and fresh understanding of our region with the library community.

Fellows will spend the fall academic semester researching the primary resources in the library’s history room, and will present their findings at the end of the semester in three ways: With an on-site exhibit, during an event evening, and through submission of their findings to an academic, peer-reviewed journal.
