Anime Club - Additional Days and New Times!!

Teens and Tweens! Beginning July 14th and through the end of August, please join us for anime on Monday and Fridays from 3-4 p.m. We will meet at our regular time on Wednesdays from 4-5pm. Come socialize, talk about anime and manga, and watch the latest streamed anime.

You'll get first look and checkouts of any new manga before it hits the shelves! We'll provide the snacks on Wednesdays but feel free to bring your own on Mondays and Fridays.

Hello Pokemon Trainers! Are you ready to get your game on at the Bridgewater Public Library?

  • Bring your own cards. We'll have a few extras to make a deck.
  • Trades are encouraged and part of the excitement! The student trainer will be available to provide guidance in an effort to make trading an enjoyable experience for all, but each person is responsible for his or her own trades. The club and library are not liable for any trades.
  • The Club will be run by a student trainer and is open to   kids 6-12 years old. A guardian must remain with kid(s).

This week we will be reading How the Crayons Saved the Rainbow

and doing two activities based on the story.

Through Me To You Puppetry invites you to join Newton and the gang for Puppet Story Time! Newton and his puppet friends take turns reading stories and singing songs with the children. 

  

At the end of the 30-minute show, his “Mom,” Leigh, gives the kids a brief demo of various puppet styles (moving mouth puppets, glove puppets, arm & rod puppets, finger puppets). The children will then have an opportunity to explore some of the puppets Leigh & Newton bring to share during Puppet Free Play. 


This show is geared to ages 3-7 years old, but all are welcome!

Explore the Viking Era and the mysticism of Nordic traditions. Join us for a fun role playing experience that includes mocktail mixing. Learn about Seeresses and key Viking customs while crafting your own delicious drinks for future celebrations. 

We'll create a mocktail version of Glogg, a fun twist on the Blott, and a Viking inspired Meade. Everyone leaves with a mixer and quirky Viking facts. Presented by Juvy Hartweg of Sassy Lady Cocktails.

Dress up is encouraged but not required. 18+ Event.

First Responder Therapy Dogs leads the way in addressing the mental health needs of first responders by providing emotional support using therapy dogs.  

We wrote this children's book, No Matter the Forecast, Our Paws Are Ready. Therapy Dogs Helping First Responders, to showcase some special moments that have been captured on visits and to share how our volunteers positively impact First Responders across the country.  

First Responder Therapy Dogs currently has 300 teams in 42 different states certified, and we are fortunate to have 22 of those teams in Massachusetts.  We hope you enjoy our book and enjoy spending time with some of our therapy dog teams!  

 Please register ALL ADULTS and CHILDREN attending.

The TaleSpinners has existed for nearly twenty years and is open to all. The TaleSpinners meet on Thursdays, year round, from 1-3 PM in the Mary Jarvis Conference Room.

The TaleSpinners encourage all sorts of writing: memoir, poetry, short stories, and/or novels. The TaleSpinners write in all genres: mystery, thrillers, science fiction, romance, humor. We engage in gentle, helpful, and encouraging critiques of one another’s writing, and everyone gets a chance to share their work.

We ask each writer to come with copies of his/her work for the rest of the group to write their comments and suggestions upon.

No registration required.
