Help Empower Women in Our Community!


For the months of March and April, we are thrilled to once again, partner with Walt’s Mobile Closet and announce our Purse & Makeup Drive to support underserved women in our community!


Donations can be dropped off in the bin by our Circulation Desk during normal business hours.

Jessica Shattuck is the New York Times bestselling author of The Women in the Castle; The Hazards of Good Breeding, a New York Times Notable Book and finalist for the PEN/Winship Award; and Perfect Life. Her writing has appeared in the New York Times, The New Yorker, Glamour, Mother Jones, and Wired, among other publications. She will be speaking about her latest release, Last House. A multi-generational saga that follows an American family over eighty years, centering on their secluded Vermont refuge and their evolving relationship with the "age of oil." The novel explores the intersections of family loyalty, geopolitical intrigue involving the CIA, and the shifting moral landscape of postwar America through the late 20th century.

Tuesday, March 24 at 6PM

PART 1

Join us for an information session about the world's greatest roleplaying game: Dungeons and Dragons!  Learn the rules, how to create your first character, and experience a brief gameplay demonstration!  This program is intended for families who are interested in learning how to run their own game at home- this is not an ongoing game!  All ages are encouraged to attend.

Come join Celestial B as she guides you on a Tarot journey!

Together, you will explore setting up a Tarot journal, selecting and charging your deck, clearing cards, connecting with your energy, building intuition, and familiarizing yourself with the cards.

Monday, March 30 Starting At 4PM

Come to the Bridgewater Public Library to celebrate the beginning of another epic season of baseball! Participants of all ages will be able to take home a few baseball cards of their own choosing (while supplies last), take home cracker jacks, eat some popcorn and even have the chance to win tickets to a Lowell Spinners, Brockton Rox and WooSox, generously donated by the teams themselves!  We'll also have other activities for children of all ages, so don't walk, RUN to the plate and visit the library starting at 4PM to participate!

Friday, April 3 at 1PM

The Bridgewater Public Library is excited to host its very first Magic the Gathering draft event, featuring cards from the set The Lost Caverns of Ixalan!  Each participant will open packs to create a sixty card deck and play against others. The best part? Everyone will KEEP the cards they pull! Other supplies will be raffled off, all experience levels are welcome, beginners are encouraged to participate!

Friday, April 3 at 2PM

Join Melissa from Beeble Art to create some art! All artistic levels are welcome. Materials will be provided. This program is for grades 1-4.

Join Triumph for Read & Draw with Me! Join us for family fun, with story time and art exploration while building your child's social skills.  For children ages 3-6 and registration is required.  

Read & Draw is funded by a grant awarded to Triumph, INC by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care.

Bridgewater Public Library's 2025 Flora T. Little Fellow, Anna Connor, will be presenting her research on Louise Dickinson Rich's 1955 memoir of growing up in Bridgewater, Innocence Under the Elms and the role such memoirs can play in the study of history.

An accompanying exhibit will be on display in the library's museum gallery space.  The presentation will be followed with a brief question and answer session.

Bridgewater’s iron industry spanned over three centuries, evolving from colonial resource harvesting to a vital supplier during the American Revolution and Civil War. This presentation explores how local forests and "bog ore" fueled massive production, driving the town's growth and shaping its industrial landscape through 2025. By examining modern-day evidence and historic reproductions, we will uncover the lasting legacy of this operation and its impact on Massachusetts history.

Hello Pokemon Trainers! Are you ready to get your game on at the Bridgewater Public Library?

  • Bring your own cards. We'll have a few extras to make a deck.
  • Trades are encouraged and part of the excitement! The student trainer will be available to provide guidance in an effort to make trading an enjoyable experience for all, but each person is responsible for his or her own trades. The club and library are not liable for any trades.
  • The Club will be run by a student trainer and is open to   kids 6-12 years old. A guardian must remain with kid(s).
