We know it's too early to think about Back To School but the need is incredibly great this upcoming school year. All items can be dropped off in the lobby during regular operating hours.

With a Tiny Garden Kit, each participant creates a miniature seasonal garden scene. Children are then invited to decorate, title their garden and read a short, creative “caption” or story inspired by their design. The session encourages imagination, storytelling, and the joy of growing something unique.

Come join Celestial B as she guides you on a Tarot journey!

Together, you will explore setting up a Tarot journal, selecting and charging your deck, clearing cards, connecting with your energy, building intuition, and familiarizing yourself with the cards.

Tuesday, August 4 at 10:30AM

Children build a Terrarium Garden using local natural accents foraged from Bridgewater. Reading cards share fun facts about native species— fern moss, birch bark—and explain how these plants thrive in our local forests. Kids leave with a living, regionally authentic garden-in-a-jar.

Tuesday, August 4 at 6:30pm

Learn all about the tiny yet important creatures that live in our local waterways! We'll begin by discussing what a macroinvertebrate is, where we can find them, and what they do. We'll then explore live macroinvertebrates from a local waterway using magnifying glasses, ID sheets, and other helpful tools. We'll wrap up by making a caddisfly craft with recycled and natural materials for participants to take home!  Online registration required, for kids ages 5-12.

Join Melissa from Cosmic Bee to create some art! All artistic levels are welcome. Materials will be provided. This program is for grades 1-4.

Tuesday, August 11 at 10:30AM

Children assemble a simple Soup Wizard Kit with grains, legumes, and spices. Alongside, they learn how garden vegetables can be dried or dehydrated for safe storage without chemicals. Reading recipe cards and preservation fact sheets, children see how shelf-stable soups connect back to what they grow. Each participant takes home a soup blend to cook and share. This program is for 6-12.

We'll begin by learning about the monarch butterfly and its life cycle through group discussion and tactile exploration, followed by an interactive migration game. We'll wrap up with a monarchs-inspired craft that participants can take home!

Teens and Tweens! Come socialize, talk about anime & manga, & watch streamed anime. You'll get first look and checkouts of any new manga before it hits the shelves! Snack provided!

Hello Pokemon Trainers! Are you ready to get your game on at the Bridgewater Public Library?

  • Bring your own cards. We'll have a few extras to make a deck.
  • Trades are encouraged and part of the excitement! The student trainer will be available to provide guidance in an effort to make trading an enjoyable experience for all, but each person is responsible for his or her own trades. The club and library are not liable for any trades.
  • The Club will be run by a student trainer and is open to   kids 6-12 years old. A guardian must remain with kid(s).

No Registration Required. 

The Bridgewater Food Pantry is always open for donations at the Bridgewater Public Library. We have been asked to specifically to request the following from the community:

Canned fruits, condiments, canned meats, paper towels, cake mixes, any and all hygiene and toiletry items.
