NANCY CAPPELLINI FAMILY FUN DAY
In honor of beloved former Director, Nancy Cappellini, the Hanson Library is excited to host the 5th Annual Nancy Cappellini Family Fun Day!  Starting at 10:00am enjoy light refreshments, face painting, a springtime craft, and more (drop in). At 12:00pm, join Craig Harris and Drum Away the Blues (preregistration required)! Enjoy a family-focused event and drum away any stress, find emotional balance, and discover the joys of making music. Drum Away the Blues is sponsored by State Aid to Public Libraries

The Library will be closed on Monday, April 17 in observation of Patriots' Day.
 
Welcome to our new full-time custodian Jude Waters! Jude started on March 20th and is already hard at work to keep your Library and Senior Center clean and well maintained.
 
MA Cultural Council Grant
We're pleased to announce that our application for a Cultural Sector Recovery Grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council was approved. The Library has been awarded $42,520 in funding!
We’re one of more than 1,200 cultural organizations across Massachusetts that received awards thanks to a pandemic recovery package approved by the Legislature. We look forward to using these funds to improve library services that are important to you!
 
Construction Grant
We’re also excited to announce our intention to apply for a library construction grant!
The Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners announced a 2023-2024 grant round for the Massachusetts Public Library Construction Program, which helps fund new library construction or expansion/renovation projects. Letters of Intent are due April 28, 2023 and the full application is due May 31, 2024. We'll be working with a consultant, who will assist us with completing the necessary application documents. These include a Strategic Plan, an Action Plan, and a Library Building Program.
