Spice Club: CUMIN Wed., Apr., 19th
Can't believe it's Cumin time! Do you love to cook and want to try new flavors and recipes? Or maybe you’re tired of cooking the same old thing and want to try something new? Then we have got just the club for you!!! Time to get spicy and join the Mansfield Public Library’s Spice Club! Every month, a new spice and recipes will be featured each month. We will provide a Spice Pack which will include: - Information and history of each featured spice.
Two new recipes from A to Z World Food database (A Mansfield Public Library card is required to access this database). Pre-measured featured spice for the two recipes that month
Once registered, come to the library on Wednesday, April 19th, to pick up the kit.
Be sure to register individually if you have more than one person to sign up. The spice club is open to ages 13 and up.

Storywalk: Move Your Mood!Friday, April 14, 10:30-11:30 AM Join us right outside the Mansfield Public Library for an interactive Storywalk -- "Move Your Mood!" Each child will get an art project, along with other handouts. The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. Storywalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson. All Ages Registration is required. Saturday, April 15, 10:30-11:30 AM Children in grades K-6 are invited to practice their reading skills with a patient, supportive (and adorable!) listener: a certified therapy dog! Children can choose a book from the library or bring one from home, and read to either Cindy the Corgi or Hadley the Newfoundland. There is no registration required, but children will be asked to check in upon arrival and wait for their turn to read (and stay for an additional turn if time allows)! Questions? Curly Rainbow Soap Making for Teens (ages 12-18) Thurs., April 20th, 6:30PM Curly Rainbow Soap Making for Teens!!
Artist Garine Arakelian will show each participant how to make their own fun and quirky swirl soap using a glycerin based soap, colorful soap curls, color, cosmetic glitter and a variety of scents. We will discuss the process of making cold process soap, blending of essential oils and the role of exfoliants in soap making.
There is no lye exposure since the process does not involve traditional soap making techniques. OPEN TO AGES 12 -18!! REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED

Friends of the Library Book Sale The Friends of the Library happily accept donations of books in excellent condition, to add to their year-round Book Sale inside the Library.
To make a donation, please call to make an appointment 508-261-7380. Please do not leave donations outside the library or in the book drop. The Friends offer a variety of books for all ages. Most items cost $1! The Friends do not accept: - Books that have been stored in an attic or basement
- Books that have mildew or mold
- Books with missing, yellowed or written in pages
- Books without the dust jacket
- Textbooks

LOST & FOUND The Lost & Found at the library has grown quite a bit recently. We hope that these items find their way back to their owners. If one of these items looks familiar to you, please pick it up by April 15th. Any items still at the library after that date will be donated to an area charity.
