Make Your Own Gingerbread House (All Ages) (IN PERSON)

All are welcome to participate in our 3rd Annual Gingerbread House program where participants can create their very own gingerbread house using graham crackers, candy and frosting! But this time we will be hosting this fun and creative program for kids, teens and adults IN PERSON!
Please note, this program does not accommodate food allergies. This event is free and open to ages 8 to 108! Start time is at 1:00pm!
Registration required for each individual who will be making their own gingerbread house. Because supplies are limited, we ask that families work together on one gingerbread house.

The Boston Tea Party: 250 Years Later (VIRTUAL)

Mansfield Public Library is excited to join Tewksbury Public Library for a fascinating virtual program: The story of tea has always been infused with intrigue, particularly when it became a flash point for tensions between England and Colonial America. On the 250th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party (December 16, 1773), learn about the brewing political problems tea presented in its history with Anglophile and former UK resident Claire Evans. Then, author, genealogist, librarian, and former UK resident Debra Dudek examines the history of the Boston Tea Party’s most famous partiers (and phonies), as well as how to trace bona fide participants through lineage societies and historical groups. **PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A VIRTUAL PROGRAM THAT WILL TAKE PLACE VIA ZOOM. Do you love to cook and want to try new flavors and recipes? Or maybe you’re tired of cooking the same old thing and want to try something new? Then we have got just the club for you!!! Time to get spicy and join the Mansfield Public Library’s Spice Club! Every month, a new spice and recipes will be featured each month. We will provide a Spice Pack which will include: - Information and history of each featured spice.
- Two new recipes from A to Z World Food database (A Mansfield Public Library card is required to access this database).
- Pre-measured featured spice for the two recipes that month
Once registered, come to the library on Wednesday, December 20th, to pick up the kit.
Be sure to register individually if you have more than one person to sign up. The spice club is open to ages 13 and up.
