With Spring around the corner, there will be plenty to do and see at the Library. Renovations on the new building continue to progress on all fronts, and work on the HVAC will begin in earnest this month, which keeps us on track for a Grand Opening sometime this Fall. Stay tuned for more details and updates. In the meantime, we continue to offer a full slate of programs and activities for children, teens, and adults. Free community yoga begins on March 6th and will run through April 3rd, so call the Library today and register if you are interested in attending these sessions. Paranormal researcher Don DeCristofario comes to Dighton on March 27th to discuss his work on the USS Salem at the Fore River Shipyard, one of New England's most actively haunted places. We will also be doing another Pet Photo Contest in April in case you missed the submission window for our February contest. E-mail your favorite pet photo to Miss Lorie by March 31st to enter. We also cannot forget all the work that the Friends of the Library do for us. They have just updated their new membership form for download, so CLICK HERE if you are interested in becoming a Friend and supporting the Library.

Join researcher Don DeCristofario at Old Town Hall on Thursday March 27th at 6:30 for a paranormal evening you will not want to miss about the USS Salem at the Fore River Shipyard in Quincy, one of New England's most actively haunted places. Don will discuss the entities who seemingly still serve as her crew, the effort to identify them, and the relationships forged with these entities. The group Don founded has spent nights in the Lizzie Borden house, the places where the real events of the popular movies The Conjuring and Hell House occurred, and the Sallie House in Atchison, Kansas, perhaps the most haunted house in America.
