Pendergast exerted tremendous influence over almost every facet of political, business and cultural life in Kansas City. Historical re-enactor Bill Nicks gives a first-hand account of how Pendergast skirted the law to control the city, as well as his involvement in getting Harry S. Truman elected as President. |
