Our first step is to clear the way to bring energy and engagement to your resume by identifying low priority content in your Experience section. Items to be dismissed or rewritten might be duties, processes, and outdated details of job descriptions. Employer job postings are the authoritative sources of key words and desired outcomes that should be featured, such as achievements, challenges met, changes implemented, and differences made. We will discuss ways to prompt your reader to ask the question, “How did they do that?” You will also learn to use short sentences that cause the reader to pause and murmur “Wow,” and we will show ways to make your bullet points more compelling.
Let's inspire and strengthen each other with our insights. The themes that drive resume effectiveness include showing your strengths, emphasizing problems you can solve, and highlighting your potential to add value. You will learn to include challenges you have met and accomplishments that have achieved goals. Attendees typically raise questions about handling work gaps and transitioning to a new industry, new level, new job function, new degree/certification, and more.
