We are thrilled to announce the completion of our 2nd creative lab, the Kitchen Table, making our extensive renovation complete! The moment has arrived for us to unveil the incredible transformation that has taken place, and we couldn't be more excited to share it with you. The celebration will include an official ribbon cutting at 4:15, refreshments, demonstrations in our creative labs, live music, and a chance to chat with our dedicated staff who have worked tirelessly to bring this vision to life.
We would be honored to have you join us for this celebration and be part of our Library’s next chapter. Bring your friends, family, and enthusiasm as we embark on this exciting journey together.

New Staff Highlight!
Welcome Emily to the Youth Services Department!
Emily has been a librarian for 12 years, starting out in schools, then becoming Teen Librarian and Branch Manager for Anaheim Public Library. Last summer, she moved to Belgrade with her partner, Chris, and their miniature dachshund, Penny. She thought she might be ready for a different career, but soon realized she missed workdays filled with books, silliness, and helping others. When not at the library, she’s busy at her other job as a farmer or cooking something new!
The BAM Boosters (formerly Southwest Montana Arts) was founded in 2019 as a supportive group of local artists who have an annual art exhibit, a shared interest in growing as artists, and events throughout the year, along with a lending library of art resources. Memberships are administered through the Bozeman Art Museum.
For more information on BAM, go to their website at bozemanartmuseum.org or call 406-551-2032. BAM is located at 2612 West Main Street Suite B in Bozeman and is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00 to 5:00.
Always free admission.
This exhibition will be on display for the month of January and will feature a wide variety of artists, approaches, and styles. A portion of proceeds from all sales benefit the Bozeman Public Library.
We want to thank all of our wonderful volunteers at the library who help us with a wide variety of tasks, from shelving to book mending to taking care of our plants. Our volunteers include high school students, MSU students, members of the AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP program, patrons and job coaches from Reach Inc., and many others who offer their time (including two volunteers who have been helping at the library for over 20 years!). In addition to our 50 regular volunteers, this year we also had help from two groups of volunteers: a group of 25 AmeriCorps volunteers who helped dust our shelves, and a group of volunteers was from the Church at Four Corners who vacuumed and wiped out the picture book cubbies and cleaned books in the children's room.
This year our volunteers gave a total of 4,600 hours of their time, and we appreciate every hour. We know that they could choose to do so many other things with their time and we are grateful that they choose to help the library.
We held a volunteer appreciation lunch in December that was well-attended and our library staff enjoyed the opportunity to chat with and thank our volunteers.
