VIRTUAL: Coming To America Book Discussion: Motl the Cantor's Son
We'll discuss Motl the Cantor's Son by Sholem Aleichem.
Copies of the books can be borrowed during self-service hours from the display area at the library, or reserved for curbside pickup.
Motl is the spirited and mischievous nine-year-old boy who journeys with his family from their Russian shtetl to New York, and whose comical, poignant, and clear-eyed observations capture the struggles and hopes and triumphs of Jewish immigrants to America at the turn of the twentieth century.
