TAG Application 2020-2021
San Leandro Teens in grades 8 through 12 are invited to apply to the Teen Advisory Group (TAG) at the San Leandro Public Library. You can apply online here!

We are particularly excited to be recruiting new TAG members to help shape a series of upcoming programming in January-May 2021, focusing on art, career preparedness and design thinking.

The mission of the TAG is to promote the San Leandro Public Library’s services to teens including:
Provide feedback and suggestions to guide library programs and spaces
Suggesting and volunteering at programs for teens
Recommending materials (books, magazines, etc.) for the teen area
Helping to promote library awareness in schools and the community

The TAG will meet once a month – the second Tuesday of the month. All meetings will be held via Zoom until shelter-in-place has ended. Meetings usually last 40-60 minutes.

Qualifications to be a TAG member:
Be a teen in grades 8 through 12 with a San Leandro Library Card.
Be willing to commit to monthly TAG meetings.
Be willing to commit to volunteering at two library events per year.
Have an interest in planning and promoting the library’s teen services.

Responsibilities of a TAG member:
Attend TAG meetings and be an active participant
Help promote participation in teen library programs
Follow library rules
Agree to the TAG Regulations
Show respect to other TAG members, library staff, and library patrons
Be enthusiastic about the library
