In the Spirit of both Filipino American HIstory Month and Halloween, we'll be creating postcards centered around the Babylans. They were important figures in pre-colonial communities in the Philippines as they had abilities to communicate with spirits, heal people, and divination which helped Datus/Leaders choose the correct path for their people. In this workshop, illustrator Michele Cajes will be breaking down how she draws each element in the image and showing techniques on how to color with color pencils and markers. Students are encouraged to be creative with their colors, use patterns and add words to the postcard!
