Are you the next Ezra Klein? An aspiring Ashley Flowers, Joe Rogan, or Amy Poehler? You could be podcasting's next big thing. York Public Library can help you get started in our Intro to Podcasting program on August 3.
You may have seen York Public Library in the news this week after some Overland Campers started to use the parking lot for camping. The situation is resolving, thanks to cooperation from the York Police Department, library staff, and befuddled campers who moved along to find a new spot to sleep and charge their camper power stations. You may notice locks on our outdoor power outlets for now, and new "no overnight parking" signs in the lot. Please continue to rely on the library for books about camping, but not for actual camping.
The Summer Reading Challenge comes to an end August 8, and congratulations are in order to the record number of participants who read with us! Don't forget to bring in your Challenge activity logs to claim your last prizes this week! Parents take note: Children's programs will take a break for the month of August as we prepare for a new season of events, features, and FUN! We'll return Monday August 31. We have one Teen/YA program before a break, Chaos Crafts which is as fun as it sounds!
We're savoring this last month of summer, and we hope you are, too. See you at the Library.
