Spring is the time of plans and projects. ~Leo Tolstoy
As the days become longer and the air begins to soften, it is a wonderful time to consider all that you hope to accomplish in the season ahead. The morning birdsong and budding trees remind us daily of the possibilities spring presents.
For the gardeners among us, it is time to start seedlings indoors. After a multi-year hiatus, this spring York Public Library will relaunch its Seed Lending Library thanks to a generous donation from Seed Savers Exchange. When the seeds arrive we will need volunteers to assist with sorting and packaging the seeds. If you would like to help, please email Assistant Library Director Kerry Cronin at kcronin@yorkpubliclibrary.org
During this time of growth and renewal, the York Public Library Association is excited to launch a strategic planning process to refresh the Library's multi-year service plan. In order to continue York Public Library's tradition of dynamic, community-focused services, we need your input. Please assist us in this effort by taking a few minutes to fill out ourcommunity survey.
We look forward to hearing from you. Remember, at York Public Library the best is yet to come!

Finally, Dan will help us understand how to foster deeper, reciprocal relationships with nearby wildlife and address the impact of climate change on the local bird population, especially coastal birds.

The World That Was Made By Plastics: A Chronological Encyclopedia of the Modern Era
By James Kences
The history of plastics is far more complicated than most might think, and extends farther into the past than most realize. How we got to the place where we are, with plastics encountered in so much that we use on a daily basis, occurred as an evolutionary process for close to two centuries, and this display which you can walk through will provide some of the clues to how this happened. . .
