Greetings from the Executive DirectorSummertime, and the reading is easy! Now is the perfect time to pick your next great, free read from the library, and I have a suggestion for all ages. The new graphic novel from legendary news anchor Dan Rather, "What Unites Us: Reflections on Patriotism" is available free to anyone in Nevada. We are able to present it to you on a new platform called BiblioBoard, which offers many other services that I want to share with you. Click HERE for all the details.

Local Authors Literary Fair This free event is ideal for published authors, first-time authors seeking publication, readers of all genres, and those interested in finding out more about our local community’s literary scene. Join over 40 of Nevada’s finest fiction & nonfiction authors as they introduce you to their bestsellers, new releases, and the books they wrote during the pandemic. Immerse yourself in our rich writers’ culture by attending a special panel discussion, “The Pen and the Pandemic,” where panelists and publishers will share how the pandemic affected them personally and professionally. Listen to first chapters read by the authors themselves, buy autographed copies of original works, and discover fresh collections through BiblioBoard — the Library District’s new self-publishing platform. BiblioBoard provides independent authors with a free platform to publish and promote their writing to local readers, and potentially, all across the U.S. and Canada with the Indie Author Project. Learn more about the Local Authors Literary Fair HERE.
