What Library Staff Have Been Reading Lately

Powerless
by Lauren Roberts

A letter to the luminous deep
by Sylvie Cathrall

"A beautiful discovery outside the window of her underwater home prompts the reclusive E. to begin a correspondence with renowned scholar Henerey Clel. The letters they share are filled with passion, at first for their mutual interests, and then, inevitably, for each other. Together, they uncover a mystery from the unknown depths, destined to transform the underwater world they both equally fear and love. But by no mere coincidence, a seaquake destroys E.'s home, and she and Henerey vanish. A year later, E.'s sister Sophy, and Henerey's brother Vyerin, are left to solve the mystery"
The Bell Witches
by Lindsey Kelk

After her father's death, Emily moves into her enigmatic family's Savannah mansion, where she uncovers a powerful magical legacy, falls for the mysterious Wyn, and must navigate the dangerous pull between newfound love and her witch-born bloodline.
The reappearance of Rachel Price
by Holly Jackson

"When her mother, who disappeared 16 years before, reappears while a true crime documentary about her case is being filmed, 18-year-old Bel, not buying her mom's unbelievable story about what happened to her, must uncover the real reason Rachel Price is back from the dead. Simultaneous eBook."
Medea
by Blandine Le Callet

"Who was Medea, really? The legendary sorceress from Greek myth has been cast as many things--A caring mother and a passionate lover who was thwarted by her desires; an independent woman vilified for refusing the tyranny of men; a barbarian who sowed confusion in the regimented world of the Greeks; a formidable witch, mistress of occult forces. Simply put, she was precisely what some would call a monster. And yet, there is so much more to Medea.... From beyond the hearsay, exaggerations, and distortions inflicted by time, we hear Medea's story in her own voice, from the luxuriant gardens of her childhood in Colchis to the mysterious island from which she gives her final confession."
