Curbside Service Coming Soon! We are excited to announce that we will soon be starting curbside pickup and materials return services at all eight of our libraries Monday through Saturday. Summer Reading is Here! Over the next two months, we are hosting virtual programs for kids, teens and adults, including performances and shows, book clubs, and other activities. Some of our programs are featured below. Earn a prize for reading 5 books and completing some fun discovery and investigative activities.

Puppet Art Theater Our Summer Reading Program includes live performances every Wednesday at 3 pm. We're kicking it off this week with an online puppet show full of humor and charm! These performances can be seen on Facebook or Zoom. If using Zoom to watch the puppet show, please register for the Zoom link. We are also hosting special concerts for little ones and other bonus programs. Keep an eye on our calendar for dates and times!

Baby Sign Language StorytimeBaby sign language can help parents and caregivers communicate with infants until the little ones are ready to develop speaking skills. Join us at 11:30 am on Fridays in June to learn some signs during our Baby Sign Language Storytimes. This program will be conducted on Zoom. Please register to participate. This event is designed for infants under a year old and their parents or caregivers.

Teen TEDx on Sunday We are counting down the days until our second Teen TEDx talk. On Sunday, we will hear from six local teens tackling a wide range of topics, from climate change to diversity to social media. The talk will be streamed on Facebook and Zoom on Sunday, June 7 at 2 pm. Please register to watch on Zoom.

Sign up for Teen Open Mic Night We are looking for teen performers to share their talents on Open Mic Night. Whether you're a singer, comedian or poet, we want to hear from you! Open Mic Night will be on Wednesday, June 17 at 7 pm. Performances will be live-streamed from Zoom to other channels. June is Pride Month A year after the Stonewall Rebellion in NYC, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and several other large American cities marked the occasion with their first Pride marches. This year marks the 50th anniversary of these marches, the reason why June was designated as LGBTQ Pride Month. Due to COVID, the focus will be on reliving the past.

Join the Library with an Instant Free eCard If you live in Santa Clara County and do not have a library card with the Santa Clara County Library District (SCCLD), or would like additional household members to have their own library accounts, the instant free eCard is for you. On a temporary basis during the COVID-19 crisis, eCards are available to all residents who live within Santa Clara County with a valid residential mailing address (P.O. Box not accepted).
