This Week! The Distinguished Author Series:
An Evening with Daniel Silva
We have a few spots left for our exclusive program, Distinguished Author Series: An Evening with Daniel Silva.

Join us this Friday, July 18 at 7 p.m. at the Campbell Heritage Theatre to hear from esteemed spy novelist Daniel Silva, the creator of the long-running Gabriel Allon spy thriller series, in conversation with CNN Special Correspondent Jamie Gangel.

Silva’s background as a journalist in Washington, D.C. and the Middle East, covering significant international events, has richly informed the settings of his Gabriel Allon adventures, which span locations from Venice to Vienna and Syria to South Africa.

His latest novel which will be released July 15, An Inside Job, finds art restorer and occasional spy Gabriel Allon tasked with the dual challenge of recovering a lost masterpiece by Leonardo da Vinci and solving the mysterious death of a woman.

Please register to attend this program.

Following their discussion, there will be a question-and-answer session with the audience and a book signing. The first 200 people in line at the theatre have the chance to receive a free copy of An Inside Job. There will also be other Daniel Silva books available for purchase through Books, Inc.

We hope to see you there!

A special thanks to the Santa Clara County Library District Foundation for sponsoring the Distinguished Author Series.

KIDS AND FAMILIES

New StoryWalk to Read and Enjoy
We want to let our young patrons know there's a new story featured in our StoryWalks!

A StoryWalk® includes pages taken directly from a children's book and installed along an outdoor path. As you walk down the path, you are encouraged to read and follow the story which is a great way to develop early literacy skills and promote physical activity with our youngest readers.

Visit one of our StoryWalks® to read and enjoy The Summer Nick Taught His Cats to Read by Curtis Manley. Two independently minded felines named Verne and Stevenson prove to be reluctant readers until their determined owner finds them books that are "just right." This story is full of ideas to make reading fun!

Visit our StoryWalk locations in a city near you:
Jack Fischer Park in Campbell
Kevin Moran Park in Saratoga
Community Park in Morgan Hill
Murphy Park in Milpitas

StoryWalk® was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library in Vermont.
