Book Bundles Now Available! Our libraries are now offering Book Bundles! Next time you are at the library picking up your holds, ask your librarian what is available. Each book bundle has 5-6 items handpicked by librarians, pulling together the best of the best materials by age, genre or topic. Some of the categories include children’s picture books, early readers, teen fiction, adult fiction and movie packs. This is a great way to introduce readers to new authors!

Overdrive eMagazines for Kids Our free eResource Overdrive offers more than books. It has an extensive eMagazine collection covering all interests and age ranges. Check out the kids’ collection to find educational publications including Astronomy for Kids, National Geographic and Highlights, as well as entertainment like Minecraft World.

After the migration, enjoy 16,000+ courses on a variety of topics in business, technology and creative skills with new courses added each week. Courses are offered in seven different languages including English, Spanish and Mandarin.

Black History Month Event: Gee's Bend Inspired Craft Join us for a special virtual event with wellness expert Kanesha Baynard this Saturday. She will lead us in an Arts & Crafts activity inspired by the women of Gee’s Bend. The women of this small and remote Black community in Alabama created hundreds of quilt masterpieces. This class celebrates the history and culture of Black Americans, explores art history and connects with upcycling and creativity.

New Animal Services Center in San Martin The County of Santa Clara has a new Animal Services Center in San Martin. The 37,000 square foot facility, located at 12425 Monterey Road, has a barn to accommodate livestock and lots of space for dogs, cats and other animals looking for forever homes. There is also space for advanced veterinary care and multi-use community space for everyone to enjoy. Join the Library with an Instant Free eCard If you live in Santa Clara County and do not have a library card with the Santa Clara County Library District (SCCLD), or would like additional household members to have their own library accounts, the instant free eCard is for you. On a temporary basis during the COVID-19 crisis, eCards are available to all residents who live within Santa Clara County with a valid residential mailing address (P.O. Box not accepted).
