Explore Our Storybook SCCLD Play Spaces! Let’s go on a trip this summer and enjoy such sites as the Redwood Romp, Trusty Trails, Earthen Excursion and Railway Rollick. You won’t have to go far –these attractions are in our libraries! These early learning play spaces invite kids ages 0-10 to practice different types of play that will help them develop skills they need to be successful learners. Kids can test out their balance skills and go down a slide. Both activities help them control body movement, which is important for developing coordination, eye tracking, and focus, promoting active play. Our interactive stations offer imaginative and interactive play, developing storytelling and cooperation skills. Babies and toddlers have their own area for sensory play with opportunities for developing fine motor skills. There are also reading nooks to relax and enjoy quiet play. Throughout each space, there are literacy activities to promote reading and learning. The early learning play spaces at Cupertino, Los Altos and Campbell Libraries are coming this fall. Stay up to date with construction updates here.
