Happy Family Hiking in the Mountains
The Spring Season is Here!
This is the time of year that often signals new starts, whether it’s the blooming wildflowers, spring cleaning, or even just getting outside to enjoy the warmer weather.

The library can help you experience the great outdoors! Patrons can check out free vehicle-entry passes to county and state parks with their library card. Pick up a pass at the Accounts Desk at any SCCLD library or the Bookmobile. Enjoy one of the county’s 28 participating regional parks or one of the 200+ participating state parks. Be sure to take the California Trails Survey to share your voice on what trail features are most important to you. This survey is provided through the California Resources Agency in partnership with California State Parks.

Before you start your adventure, be sure to borrow books about California wildflowers, birding, and hiking in California.

If you prefer to stay closer to home and explore the magic of your yard, we have several different gardening programs coming up you're not going to want to miss!

MORE FROM THE LIBRARY
New Outdoor Space Coming to Woodland Library
We are excited to announce a vibrant new outdoor space is being added to Woodland Library.

The Woodland Library Terrace and Native Habitat, adjacent to the library, offers a welcoming space to read, study and gather. The project includes shaded eating areas with tables and umbrellas, surfaces for games and chalk activities, and a beautiful native garden designed and created by GreenTown Los Altos.

Work on the Woodland Library Terrace is underway and is expected to be completed this summer. The library will remain open during regular service hours.

The City of Los Altos, with generous funding from LALE are spearheading the Woodland Library Terrace project. The Santa Clara County Library District is grateful for this City project.

Campbell Express Library
Campbell Express Library to Close
Work to reopen the fully renovated, beautiful, new Campbell Library is coming along, with the Grand Opening set for Saturday, May 9.

In anticipation of the reopening, the Campbell Express Library will provide service through Saturday, April 4. This will give our staff time to relocate library materials to the permanent library location, fill shelves with additional new materials, and get the library ready for the grand opening.

After April 4, browsing for library materials, picking up library holds, or returning materials will not be available at Campbell Express. Patrons can update their pickup location and browse library materials at Saratoga, Cupertino, or any of the other Santa Clara County Library District locations. If you would like to change your preferred library for holds pickup, you can do so from your online account settings.

Any materials checked out from the Campbell Express Library between now and the April 4 closure will be due on May 9.

The Campbell Express will accept returns through April 4. Returns are accepted at any other Santa Clara County Library District library. As a friendly reminder, eligible library materials are available for automatic renewal up to three times. Also, there are no longer late fines on materials, but items four or more weeks past the due date will incur a lost fee for full replacement costs.
