ALERT: Due to COVID-19 (coronavirus), all registered voters will be mailed an absentee ballot automatically. All voters are encouraged to register to vote (DEADLINE October 19, 2020) as soon as possible to allow for the absentee ballots to be mailed.  If you have any questions, please contact your Secretary of State.

Online pre-registration is now available for eligible 16 and 17 year olds by visiting registertovote.ca.gov. California youth who pre-register to vote will have their registration become active once they turn 18 years old. For more information, visit: https://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/pre-register-16-vote-18/
 

CHECKLIST FOR RETURNING YOUR VOTE BY MAIL BALLOT

  1. Place your completed ballot card(s) in the Official Return Envelope.
  2. Securely seal the envelope.
  3. Sign, date, and provide your registered address on the back of the envelope in spaces provided.

HOW TO RETURN A VOTE BY MAIL BALLOT:

  • Mail the Vote by Mail ballot through USPS, postage is already pre-paid, so no stamp needed.
  • If mailing, be sure to send on or before Election Day. The envelope must be postmarked no later than Nov. 3rd to be counted. It is advisable not to wait until the last day to mail.
  • OR:  Drop off the ballot at any Vote Center or any Vote by Mail drop box location.
