Visit https://eipl.org/adultsrc to register and submit reviews of the books you've been reading (the link will also be available on our homepage). For each review you submit, you can select a book from our prize cart. Additionally, each submission earns you a chance to win in our grand prize drawing at the end of the club!
Teens, entering grades 7-12For every book you read, simply submit a 3-5 sentence review on the form that's on the blog. Each book review will earn you a virtual raffle ticket that can be entered into the raffle drawing of your choice. For every five book or ten graphic novel submissions, you will get one entry in the grand prize raffle...

12th Annual Young Adult Photography Contest
Grades 7-12
The Young Adult Department of the EIPL is proud to present our 12th Annual Photography Contest that is open to amateur photographers in the East Islip community, entering grades 7-12.
Entries must be 8”x10”, of an appropriate nature, and can be color or black and white. Please do not submit mounted or framed photographs.
Entries will be displayed in the Teen Bistro from Saturday, July 17, 2021 through Saturday, July 31, 2021. During this time your peers will vote upon a winner. The first place winners’ entry will be framed and hung permanently in the Teen Bistro. The winner will be announced on Monday, August 2, 2021.
Library of Things Online CatalogYou can now browse through the items in our Library of Things on our website. In addition to the different categories of things and loan rules, you can also check the availability of lawn games and library equipment. When you have figured out what item you would like and when, give the Reference Desk a call at 631-581-9200 x5 to make a reservation.

Yoga on Saturday mornings for those who cannot attend during the week. What a great way to start your weekend with instructor Doris Denton. Bring a mat or towel. This program is in-person only and space is limited; there will be no Zoom component.

Green Screen Photos
We know how much you love having your picture taken in front of the green screen during Comic Con. Even though we're going virtual for the day, we are offering to take your picture in front of the screen in the library during the week leading up to Comic Con. Call the Reference Desk at 631-581-9200 x5 to schedule. Appointments will be offered every half hour on the following days:
- Saturday, July 17, between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.
- Monday, July 19 - Thursday, July 22, between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.
- Friday, July 23, between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Remote Printing at East Islip Public Library
You can use your personal computer (laptop or desktop), tablet and smartphone to print to the library's printer from anywhere. Visit www.eipl.org/print for instructions on how to upload or email your documents. Once received, we will hold on to the print job for 72 hours for you to come in at your convenience.

The Town of Islip CDA has grant funds for tenants/renters who have been financially impacted by the pandemic. These grants are designed to pay rent and utility arrears and are paid directly to the landlord or utility company.

Project Hope is New York’s COVID-19 Emotional Support Helpline.
NY Project Hope Crisis Counselors understand what you are going through. Talking with a crisis counselor is always free, confidential, and anonymous, allowing you to talk freely about the issues that are affecting you. They will help you navigate these unusual times and take some of the burden off of your shoulders.
Project Hope Crisis Counselors will help you with anything from economic hardships to behavioral health issues. They understand there are a whole range of emotions you might be feeling and they will work through it with you. A Crisis Counselor will give you self-help tips and come up with a plan for you to be your own advocate. They have a multitude of resources available to you and would love to be the shoulder you lean on. After all, New Yorkers are in this together.
