Summer Reading 2023

Summer is almost here and with it comes our annual summer reading challenge! With this year's emphasis on kindness, unity, and inclusiveness, there's something for everyone -- babies through adults.

Some old favorites, like "Where in the Library is Archie?" and Hot Dog Fridays are back. And we've added some new activities too, like "Sing, Play, Move" which joins students from Slippery Rock University  with early learners to go on a journey rich in song, movement, and sound exploration.

Registration for all of the reading challenges opens via the library's Beanstack app on June 12.

Children's JUNE program registration
opens up on May 30.

Children's JULY program registration
opens up on June 20.
ADULT PROGRAMS

In addition to our ongoing book clubs, CPL offers a wide variety of programs for adults. Visit our Events Calendar for a complete list of programs and to register.

A House of Windsor Mystery

Get ready for the coronation and join us as local author Eileen Enwright Hodgetts discusses her novel Coronation: A House of Windsor Mystery.
England, 1952. As the royal jewelers prepare for the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, they discover that the historic jewels in the Imperial State Crown have been replaced with fake stones. The real jewels had been removed from the crown at the beginning of World War II, to preserve them in case of invasion, but they are no longer in their hiding place. Where are they now? Only one man knows, but he has disappeared. Inspired by true events.
