The Book Pedaler
Grundy's Book Bike

The name of the Grundy Library's new book bike has been chosen from among the 100-plus entries submitted by the public. Staff voted on their favorites and selected the name "The Book Pedaler." There were three individuals who suggested the same name so we have three Cesare's Ristorante gift card winners! Congratulations to Kelley S., Richard B., and Nicole P. A big "Thank you" to all who participated for your name suggestions. Grundy Staff look forward to seeing everyone out in the community and at events while riding The Book Pedaler.

Bristol Riverside Theatre
Mainstage Production Tickets

As part of its mission to open doors, inspire minds and connect community, the Margaret R. Grundy Memorial Library, 680 Radcliffe Street, is renewing its partnership with the Bristol Riverside Theatre (BRT) located at 120 Radcliffe Street, Bristol, PA for cultural passes to each of the theatre’s four 2022-2023 Main Stage productions.

The pass in the form of a voucher entitles an individual to two free tickets to a single production, once per Main Stage season. To claim a voucher, patrons must use either their Grundy or Bucks County Free Library card and be in good standing. Vouchers are first come, first served and are to be picked up at the Library. Once they have the voucher, individuals claim their tickets at the BRT box office in advance of a performance date. Possession of a voucher does not guarantee the availability of tickets for a desired date; all tickets are subject to availability at the BRT box office.

In support of the Bristol Riverside Theatre productions is the new Bristol Riverside Theatre (BRT) Collection and Bristol Riverside Theatre Backpacks available for checkout at the Grundy Library. The BRT Collection includes books, music, and other materials related to theater and BRT productions. There are two backpacks to coordinate with each of the four Main Stage productions. Filled with complementing theatre materials for use and enjoyment at home, each backpack can be checked out with a Grundy or Bucks County Free Library card. The A Leg Up BRT backpack contains the novel All the Things We Don't Talk About, the non-fiction book Life Isn't Binary, the play Bedroom Farce: A Comedy in Two Acts, the DVD I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry, and the Love, Simon soundtrack.

Contact the Library for more details about getting a voucher or checking out backpacks and other materials from the Bristol Riverside Theatre Collection.

Historic Bristol Day

The Annual Museum Tea returned on September 24th with a Dine-in and a Takeout option. The Museum South lawn is nearly complete and staff were thrilled to host our first event on the lawn. The Museum Annual Tea serves as a fundraiser for the Grundy Foundation CanDoMore Campaign 4 to fund and promote special programming and services for the Museum and Library.

Chef Sue Duffy Arroyo returned with her delicious Coronation Chicken Salad Sandwich and what is now our signature tea sandwich, Grundy Museum Cucumber & Boursin. Bricky Girl Tea Room, located on Mill Street in Bristol, returned as a partner and made delicious petit fours and scones. We served tea from the Bricky Girl Tea Room as well. This event continues to be a perfect collaboration with local businesses.

We would like to thank all of those that placed orders and their support of the CanDoMore Campaign. For more information about the CanDoMore Campaign, can be found on the Grundy Foundation website as well as the Grundy Museum and Grundy Library websites.
