Hello South Country Community,
 
It's almost February -- do you think the groundhog Punxsutawney Phil will see his shadow?
 
Coming up, we're offering important discussions on racism and financial wellness. For families with children, there are many more crafts, including three for Valentine's Day. Plus, due to popularity, we've doubled our contestant-limit for the Trivia for All games -- twenty people can now play each game!

The Library & This Year's Tax Season
There will be no in-person AARP Tax-Aide services in the library or elsewhere on Long Island this tax season. Please click here to read our full notice with more information & resources.
 
The library currently has copies of the Federal 1040/1040-SR booklet, which includes Schedules 1-3. They are located by the Reference Desk. The library does not yet have NYS tax forms.
 
The COVID Info & Support Group is temporarily on break.
We will resume on a Saturday in February. Please call or keep an eye on our website or Facebook page for the exact date.
 
Our Give or Take Food Pantry
is located in the lobby, and available for those in need to obtain food items anytime the library is open.
We have a bin in the lobby where you can donate non-perishable food to help keep the pantry stocked. Thank you for your generosity!

This New York Historical Society presentation is based on their 2018-19 exhibition and explores Black Americans’ struggle for equality under the law from 1865 through World War I. Learn about both Southern and Northern roles in this dark chapter of our history as well as Black New Yorkers’ organizing and community-building in the face of discrimination.
